Amazon is getting ready for the holidays and it will be holding another round of Prime Day-like sales.
The online retailer said its Prime Early Access Sale starts on Oct. 11 at midnight PDT or 3 a.m. EDT, Reuters reported.
The sales will last 48 hours in 15 countries such as the U.S., China, U.K. and France.
Amazon is not the only retailer to start holiday sales early this year.
Target and Walmart are both holding sales in October, well before the traditional start of holiday shopping on Black Friday, CNN reported.
Analysts said the move is because shoppers will be trying to spread their holiday spending over more weeks due to the economy, CNN reported.
Deals from the Prime Early Access Sale — not technically called Prime Day — are for Amazon Prime members. Membership costs $14.99 a month or $139 a year for most people. There is a free 30-day trial that, if you sign up now, should still be active for the October sale, CNBC reported.
