Tulsa County judge to decide whether 4 people will stand trial for 2022 murder

TULSA, Okla. — A Tulsa County judge is expected to rule whether four people will stand trial after they were arrested for the shooting death of a woman at the Center of the Universe in 2022.

It’s expected at 1:30 p.m. Monday that four of five people arrested in the death of 18-year-old Serenity McAdoo will learn if the case against them is going to trial. In total, five people are behind bars charged in connection with McAdoo’s death last July.

Tulsa police arrested 15-year-old Ronyelle Overstreet, 18-year-old Isaac Harvey, 20-year-old Justin Person and 18-year-old Taylon Orr in McAdoo’s death. They are charged with first-degree murder. Dusty Stevens, 18, is charged with use of a motor vehicle in the discharge of a weapon.

Monday’s hearing will determine if a judge believes there is enough evidence for Overstreet, Harvey, Orr and Stevens to stand trial. Their attorneys are arguing self-defense.

The judge was expected to make a decision Friday, but wanted more time to review surveillance camera video.

Police told FOX23 at the time of the shooting death that there was an argument between two rival groups at the downtown Tulsa landmark when shots were fired, hitting McAdoo.
