Tulsa Police investigate homicide at North Tulsa apartment complex

Tulsa homicide detectives are on the scene of a homicide at the Pioneer Plaza apartment complex just across the street from the Emerson Elementary School in North Tulsa.

Police say they got a call around 1:30 a.m. Friday morning to reports of a stabbing in one of the apartments.

They say when they arrived at the third floor, officers saw a woman in the hall “sitting in blood.”

Police say the woman directed them into an apartment where they discovered a man laying on his back by the front door.

We’re told the man was alive when police found him and had a large cut to his right arm, and at least one stab wound to his chest.

The victim was transported to the hospital where he later died.

Investigators say the altercation started in a different apartment, believed to be the victim’s, before ending up in a different apartment down the hall.

They say the man may have been trying to go for help and was banging on the apartment door before the residents inside let him in, and that’s where police found him.

Police say the woman from the hall is now in custody and is a suspect after talking to a witness.

Detectives and crime scene investigators are still on scene, no names have been released at this time.
