Broken Arrow man arrested, found to be ‘fake dentist’

BROKEN ARROW, Okla. — Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office arrested Mansoor Magbool Bhatti on 20 counts of practicing dentistry without a license in Broken Arrow.

A patient noticed a billing issue with their insurance back in June. Their insurance told them that they had no records on file of Bhatti being a licensed dentist.

The patient made a complaint to the Oklahoma Board of Dentistry who launched an investigation in June. It was discovered that Bhatti had no license and he never even completed dentistry school.

“He’s never been licensed and he’s never been to school,” Susan Rogers, Executive Director and General Counsel of the Oklahoma Board of Dentistry said.

“This is a whole different level. This is someone who is out there portraying themselves as a doctor who is not,” Rogers continued.

The affidavit says that Bhatti attended the University of Tennessee Health Science Center, College of Dentistry for only three days. No credits or degree was ever obtained.

In July investigators went undercover acting as patients in the office, later completing a search warrant where they found 18 patient files.

Investigators confirmed that Bhatti had observed, diagnosed and treated patients through 61 scheduled appointments, from May 2020 through July 2021, without a license.
