CATOOSA, Okla. — Catoosa Public Schools said parents may see enhanced security when students return to school on Tuesday after a threat was made against the district.
The school district said on social media that it received word of a school threat from the Catoosa Police Department over the holiday break.
“While the Catoosa Police determined that the threat was not credible, we are nonetheless responding with extreme caution and taking all appropriate steps to ensure that our campuses remain safe,” said a Facebook post.
The district said the security measures are “out of an abundance of caution”, and ask that parents talk to their kids about the consequences of making threats toward schools.
