WASHINGTON COUNTY, Okla. — Content Warning: The following article contains graphic details involving a double homicide investigation.

Federal court documents have revealed new details on a double homicide in Washington County. On Friday, Jan. 20, Lucas Anthony Walker, 20, and a 17-year-old girl were arrested by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO) in connection to the the deaths Larry and Deborah Dutton.

According to court records, around 1:00 p.m. Friday, WSCO investigators arrived at the Dutton’s home on West 1300 Road in Dewey, Okla., to conduct a welfare check. Court documents indicated the welfare check was related to the couple’s suspicious disappearance.

When investigators arrived, Walker and the teenage girl were identified as the two occupants of the house. Court documents revealed that the teenage girl was the Dutton’s biological granddaughter, but the couple’s adoptive daughter. WCSO used social media to confirm Walker is the teenage girl’s boyfriend.

WCSO investigators received a search warrant and went through the home. Inside the house, investigators discovered blood and attempts to clean up blood from the main bedroom floor. After this discovery, Walker and the girl were separated and taken in for questioning.

During their separate interviews, Walker and the teenage girl both confessed to killing Deborah and Larry Dutton. Dec. 19, 2022.

Walker confessed to investigators that the murders took place Dec. 19, 2022. Court records revealed both a knife and a gun were used in the killings. Walker confessed to using a pistol from the Dutton’s own gun safe to commit the murders.

By Dec. 22, 2022, the suspects took the bodies out into the Dutton’s backyard and buried them.

Court records indicated that footage from the Ring Doorbell camera on the Dutton’s front door helped investigators identify Walker and the teenage girl.

Walker was arrested on two counts of first-degree murder.

An investigation found Walker and the girl were spending the Dutton’s money.

Walker had his first court appearance Monday, Jan. 23, and has been officially charged with first degree murder in Indian Country and discharging a firearm during and in relation to a crime of violence, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

The teenage girl will be seen in Washington County District Court where she will be charged as an adult with two counts of first-degree murder.

WCSO investigators are working with the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation, the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Medical Examiner’s Office out of Tulsa.
