2 injured during Claremore Regional Airport hangar fire (FOX23.com News Staff)

CLAREMORE, Okla. — The Claremore Fire Department responded to a hangar fire at the Claremore Regional Airport Monday morning.

Firefighters said the fire started at the airport near Highway 20 and South 4230 Road just after 4 a.m.

Two airplanes and a helicopter were inside the hangar at the time of the fire. The airplanes were pushed out by the people who called the fire department, but the helicopter remained inside.

The people were burned as they pushed the planes out of the hangar. One person was transported to the hospital and one was treated on the scene, firefighters said.

The Oklahoma State Fire Marshal will assist with the investigation of the fire. FOX23 will continue to provide updates as information becomes available.
