There's more evidence for Oklahoma families that their loved ones in Afghanistan are really coming home.

More than 40 soldiers are scheduled to arrive in Norman Thursday from Afghanistan.

The homecoming is part of the reduction in forces ordered by the Department of Defense.

The Citizen Soldiers are expected to arrive at the Norman Armed Forces Reserve Center at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday.

The first soldiers to hit U.S. soil were back home in December.

The majority of the soldiers are expected to return in March.

The actual units involved and the number of troops returning to the United States is not available to the media.

There are more than 2,000 Oklahoma Army National Guardsmen from the 45th deployed to Afghanistan.
