Food vendors are already setting up at the Tulsa State Fair.
Just when you think they have to be running out of ideas for new delicacies, they do it again.
The latest food item added to the menu is fried Kool-Aid.
Sarah Thompson works at the Tulsa State Fair.
She says, “There’s deep fried Kool-Aid, which should be interesting. It’s kind of a Kool-Aid dough ball that’s been deep Fried.”
If you’re looking for something on the lighter side, you might want to try Deb's Pineapple Whip stand.
The owner Deb Bates says, “It’s like ice cream but it’s made with juice. It’s fat free, cholesterol free and a cone is like one point on Weight Watchers.”
Bates and her husband are from Porter.
The food booth is a business that was passed down to them from their parents.
There are 600 food vendors already setting up for the Tulsa State Fair that begins Thursday.
