Muskogee boy found safe after bus stop abduction, mother in custody

MUSKOGEE, Okla. — An 8-year-old boy is safe after an Amber Alert issued early Tuesday morning.

Muskogee police say Jaiden Johnson, who had been picked up by his non-custodial mother at a bus stop on Monday before law enforcement found them later Tuesday morning.

Police say Michael Johnson, Jaiden’s father, told them that the mother, 39-year-old Temicah Simpson, showed up at his bus stop and told him and his 11-year-old sister to get into the car.

Jaiden did but his sister didn’t.

Muskogee police say Jaiden suffers from a kidney disorder that requires weekly treatment and they were unsure if his mother would be able to care for him.

Police say Comanche County deputies found Jaiden safe and took Simpson into custody.
