The cause of death for a man whose body was found near Mohawk Park has been classified as ‘unknown’ by the State Medical Examiner’s Office.

In September, authorities found a truck belonging to 59-year-old Christopher Coulston abandoned on the north side of Mohawk Park.

His family was frantic and said there was no reason he would have been in that area.

The search, which included dive teams searching ponds and creeks, went on for a week-and-a-half before searchers eventually found his body in a wooded area near Bird Creek.

The M.E.’s report says it had no injuries or fractures identified and no drugs detected, but it says they could not determine the manner of death.
