Convicted felon arrested for ‘Threatening Letter’ to Tulsa County Judge

TULSA, Okla. — Kevin Petty was arrested by Tulsa County Deputies after a threatening letter was discovered addressed to Judge Martha Rupp Carter's courtoom.

Deputies say Petty wrote the letter from the Tulsa County Jail in 2017 and signed it, adding his return address

The letter says Petty allegedly wanted to kill Judge Carter after she issued a protective order, which "interfered with his relationship."

Petty has previous convictions from Creek County in 2008, Wagoner County in 2017, Tulsa County in 2011 and 2017 and Mayes County in 2011.
