It’s a homecoming for former NASA Administrator Jim Bridenstine.
The Tulsa native returns to Oklahoma after stepping down from NASA on the same day President Joe Biden took office.
Bridenstine will be a senior advisor for Acorn Growth Companies, an Oklahoma City-based private equity firm that invests in aerospace, defense and intelligence, the Associated Press reported.
According to Business Wire, Bridenstine will be based in Tulsa, where the company plans to expand.
Bridenstine bid farewell to his colleagues at NASA in a video.
“This was a job of a lifetime.” Bridenstine says as he fights back tears. “I’m just so grateful.”
Bridenstine, a Navy pilot and former congressman, explained why he chose to leave the post he’s held since 2018 to KRMG.
