The Tulsa area got a good soaking Wednesday morning, but avoided severe weather threats.

Oklahoma Mesonet reported areas in southern Tulsa County received close to half an inch of rain, while areas in northern Tulsa County barely got a quarter of an inch.

The National Weather Service called for a windy Wednesday and then a much cooler Thursday.

High temperatures on Thursday are expected to only reach the upper 40s.

The weekend looks wetter with a 20 percent chance of rain Friday afternoon.

Those rain chances stick around for Saturday and ramp up to thunderstorm chances Sunday night in to Monday.
