The Silver Shadow is described as "one of the plushest cruise ships afloat."
But when inspectors from the CDC went aboard to for a surprise look around they were surprised to find food being hidden in a hot cabin.
CNN reports someone tipped the cruise line off about the CDC visit, prompting them hide the food that had been improperly stored.
Among the hidden items were meat and cheese, none of which had been refrigerated.
An attorney specializing in cruise industry suits has some distressing news.
This isn't rare "there is typically a scramble that takes place" when surprise inspections pop up.
Even more unsettling is the fact that nothing will happen to the ship or the company.
The CDC's cruise inspection program doesn't carry any enforcement power at all.
But this stash of warm beef and cheese won’t be consumed. The inspectors poured liquid chlorine over all of it to make sure it would be thrown away.
