Donald Trump's controversial comments Monday calling for a "total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States" were followed with outrage on social media.
While many were tweeting their thoughts and emotions about Trump's comments, the mayor of one Florida city decided to take action with his tweet.
St. Petersburg, Florida Mayor Rick Kriseman sent a tweet Monday evening banning Trump from the city.
The mayor received praise from his Twitter followers after the announcement.
