The Tulsa Fire Department responded to a large fire at the Hallelujah Church near Pine and Utica just after 6 a.m. Wednesday.
Firefighters said it started in the church’s basement.
“Thankfully, they put the fire out pretty quickly relatively because all the construction materials that were inside and stuff just accumulated inside, could have been a pretty bad situation.” TFD’s Andy Little said. “We don’t have any injuries at this time. There was nobody in the structure when they arrived.”
TFD said the efforts of eight engine crews, three ladder crews, two district chiefs and the fire chief helped extinguish the fire.
