A recount has been ordered in the Tulsa County clerk's race where Pat Key edged out Dean Martin in the Republican primary run-off on August 28th.

Dean Martin requested the recount today and has challenged some irregularities in absentee ballots.

Pay Key won the election by less than 200 votes.

In a filing with the Tulsa County Election Board Friday afternoon before the 5pm deadline, Martin says a physical inspection of absentee ballots found irregularities in more than 200 of the ballots for things like mismatched notary dates, expired notary stamp or lack of notary stamp or seal, no assistant signature, no witness address.

We also learned that Pat Key has also requested a recount of the election results asking that all ballots be counted by hand even if Martin wants to stop the process in the middle of it.

The document filed with the Tulsa County Election Board says the recount of the ballots will in room 408 of the Tulsa County Courthouse with Judge William Kellough at 9am on September 6, 2012.
