Tulsa, Okla. — Police worked a homicide where a man was shot in the back with a shotgun and died Wednesday night.

The victim was found at 9:07 p.m. at the Brightwaters Apartments near West 23rd Street and Southwest Boulevard.

Tulsa Police Cpl. Alex Peiffer said, “He was immediately being loaded up into EMSA.”

The man was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Police told KRMG Travonta Ashley was arrested and faces a charge of first degree murder.
