A new road construction project is set to begin Monday on 21st Street between Yale and Sheridan.

The City of Tulsa said the project includes milling, the removal of the old surface, and patching where needed under the surface and repaving the road with new asphalt.

In addition to the roadway, crews will make improvements to the sidewalks and curbs and install new stormwater drainage systems.

City officials said both eastbound lanes will close, but the westbound lanes will remain open with one lane for each direction of travel. We’re told once repairs on the eastbound lanes are finished, the westbound lanes will close and eastbound lanes will open for two-way traffic.

The $2.4M project is expected to be finished in November 2025.
