TULSA, Okla. — A Winter Storm Warning is in effect until noon Friday for much of southeast and east central Oklahoma and all of western Arkansas.

The National Weather Service in Tulsa says a Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for the same time across the remainder of the area.
NWS says 3 to 8 inches of snow are possible with locally higher amounts of up to 10 inches in the terrain areas.
Travel is expected to be dangerous across portions of the area.
Snow and sleet accumulations are forecast for eastern Oklahoma and western Arkansas Thursday into Friday, according to NWS.
Widespread 2 to 9 inches of snow/sleet accumulation with locally higher amounts are forecast for the area with the heaviest snow corridor across southeast Oklahoma into western Arkansas.
Snow is expected to taper off mid-Friday, making way for some sunshine Friday afternoon.
