Tulsa food pantry receives donation to help Afghan refugees settling in Green Country

Helping Afghan Refugees

TULSA, Okla. — A Tulsa organization has received financial assistance to help out Afghan refugees who now call Green Country home.

Islamic Relief USA has donated $17,950 to Khan Ohana Foundation, a local food pantry. The donation will help Afghan refugees receive hot, nutritious meals while they continue to adapt to life in America.

The donation will also help refugees learn English. The Khan Ohana Foundation is offering ESL classes for Afghan refugees. You can find more information on Khan Ohana’s website.
