Tulsa police arrest 19-year-old after series of sexual assaults

Tulsa police announced the arrest of a serial sexual assault suspect Friday.

Detectives arrested 19-year-old Brandon Bills in connection with at least three attacks that happened in east Tulsa beginning in late August.

Police said the first attack happened August 21st at an apartment complex near 41st and 129th East Avenue. According to detectives, the suspect entered the victim’s apartment while she was sleeping and raped her before leaving with stolen items.

The second attack happened on September 20th, according to TPD. Police said the suspect attacked the victim from behind as she entered her apartment, very near the scene of the first attack.

Police said the victim fought back and screamed, causing the suspect to flee.

Just three days later, on September 23rd, police said the suspect targeted a third woman, again attacking from behind as she entered her apartment. The victim in this case, according to police, fought back and was able to escape the suspect. Detectives said the suspect fled with stolen items.

Tulsa police said a search warrant was served Friday morning and Brandon Bills was arrested.

We’re told Bills gave a full confession after his arrest.

“He gave details of each individual assault that only the suspect would know.” Lieutenant Darin Ehrenrich said. “We are 100 percent confident we have the right guy”

Lt. Ehrenrich said there is a high likelihood that there are more victims who are afraid to come forward.

Police said these three assaults happened at either the Alexis Park Apartment or the Polo Club Apartments, which are side by side.

Police said Bills lives within a short walking distance from where the crimes occurred.

Jail records show Bills was charged with rape, attempted rape, forcible sodomy and burglary.
