The Tulsa Airports Improvement Trust has announced an update to the Tulsa Riverside Airport’s master planning process.
The master plan is the main long-term planning document used by airports to provide a framework for growth at an airport.
It identifies the development needs at individual airports based on forecasts of aviation activity, the potential environmental effects, community compatibility, and financial feasibility.
At the second public meeting, held on September 13, 2022 at Tulsa Technology Center – Riverside Campus, four master plan alternatives were presented for consideration and public feedback.
After receiving public feedback and continued discussion amongst TAIT’s Board of Trustees and leadership,
Alternative 2, which presented an option of expanding Tulsa Riverside Airport’s main runway 900 feet to the south across 91st Street, is no longer under consideration.
