SPERRY, Okla. — A mobile home fire killed a 70-year-old woman and her two dogs early Friday morning in Sperry.
Country Corner and Sperry firefighters responded to the fire to find the mobile home completely ablaze.
The ATF and Tulsa Fire Department investigators assisted in the investigation.
Country Corner Fire Chief Randall Williamson said they knocked out the flames in a matter of minutes, but the mobile home had already burned to the ground.
He said the victim likely had little chance to escape the fire, because of how fast the mobile home burned.
“The construction, the type of material, the way they’re built. Even the ones now, that are so different than they used to be, but they still go up pretty quick,” said Williamson.
Investigators are still trying to determine the cause of fire.
