‘The Wire,’ actor Robert Hogan dies at the age of 87 (NCD)

An actor whose career stretched over six decades, Robert Hogan, has died.

He was 87.

Hogan had a long career on television and on the stage appearing in such classics as “Hogan’s Heroes,” “The Twilight Zone,” “Law & Order” and “The Wire,” USA Today reported.

He also appeared in soap operas such as “Days of Our Lives,” “All My Children” and “General Hospital.”

Hogan starred on stage as part of the original Broadway cast of “A Few Good Men,” according to his obituary in The New York Times.

He also won the Outer Critics Circle Award for his role as Clarence Darrow in “Never the Sinner, NBC News reported.

Hogan’s career was noted in Quentin Tarantino’s “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” when Leonardo DiCaprio’s character mentions “Bobby Hogan’s” work in an episode of “The F.B.I.”

Hogan had been diagnosed with vascular Alzheimer’s in 2013 and was still able to work after his diagnosis, his family said.

Hogan died from complications of pneumonia, according to his obituary. He left behind his wife Mary Hogan, three children with ex-wife Shannon Hogan and two grandchildren, USA Today reported.
