SAND SPRINGS, Okla. – On Tuesday, Tulsa County Sheriff Vic Regalado announced an arrest in a cold case murder that happened 28 years ago.
The Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office arrested 62-year old Angie Cutnose Monday, and she has been charged in the 1997 murder of Todd Sanseverino that happened near West Tulsa. The 32-year old Sanseverino was shot in the chest and killed while visiting a home in Sand Springs 28 years ago, and Cutnose was a suspect early in the investigation.
“Although these cases are extremely difficult, very time consuming, and arguably drains a lot of our resources, it’s still worth it for days like this,” Regalado said.
The sheriff said it came down to old-fashioned police work.
Over the years, the Sheriff’s Office Cold Case Task Force developed new information that led to first-degree murder charges being filed against Cutnose.
“That makes today that much better, and although it is bittersweet, we are glad that this case has been solved and will be forwarded to – it is with the prosecutors’ office for prosecution.” Regalado said.
Tulsa District Attorney Steve Kunzweiler was also at the press conference and said Cutnose deserves the same presumption of innocence that every other suspect is afforded. The DA also praised the Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office and the cold case task force.
