Broken Arrow City Manager says it’s time for BA to think about building airport

By Steve BergDec 3, 2025  1:34 PM Could Broken Arrow soon get its own airport? City Manager Michael Spurgeon told City Councilors at their meeting last night, he thinks it’s time.  “We get contacted all the time by corporate headquarters here in the community and elsewhere about… ‘is Broken Arrow ever thinking about doing one?’ We have pilots that approach us,” Spurgeon said. He says step one would be to do a feasibility study to find out, among many things, how much it would cost to construct a municipal regional airport. He says the city does have people on staff with experience with this kind of thing. Spurgeon says he’ll talk more about the idea in his State of the City speech next week.
