TULSA, Okla. — The Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma has received a $9.4 million, three-year TSET Legacy Grant to launch Feed Oklahoma.
Feed Oklahoma is a statewide school meal initiative that will provide chef-designed frozen meals to students in all 77 counties.
The program, run in partnership with the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma, will expand meal production through the food bank’s new culinary center.
By 2028, Feed Oklahoma plans to serve 1.7 million meals annually across 200 schools, increase food security by six percent, improve nutrition security by three percent, and strengthen academic outcomes by four percent.
Oklahoma ranks among the bottom five states for food security with one in four children facing hunger.
The grant scales a successful Tulsa-area model to a statewide level.
