25-year-old man hit, killed by vehicle while walking along Creek County road

CREEK COUNTY, Okla. — The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said a 25-year-old man is dead after he was hit by a vehicle while walking along a Creek County road on Monday.
OHP said Thomas Whitaker was walking east in the westbound lanes of West 181st Street South near South 49th West Avenue, just north of Mounds, around 6 p.m.
A vehicle traveling west on 181st Street South hit Whitaker as he was walking.
OHP said Whitaker was taken to the hospital and later pronounced dead. The driver of the vehicle was not injured.
