Wintry precip leads to dozens of crashes across Tulsa early Monday

A mix of freezing rain and sleet fell across Tulsa early Monday morning, leading to multiple crashes across the metro.
By midday, EMSA said their paramedics and EMTs had responded to 35 traffic accidents.They say 11 people had injuries serious enough that they required transport to hospitals.
EMSA says that’s about 8 times more than normal on an average Monday.
KRMG’s traffic team reported Red Alert traffic conditions on Highway 169, I-44, the Broken Arrow Expressway and I-244 throughout the morning.

The National Weather Service said Tulsa’s next chance for wintry precipitation could arrive by Thursday.
