UPDATE 12/11/2025 – The identity of the person killed in the head-on collision Wednesday in Sand Springs has been released by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
Emerald Rose Boese died after her vehicle was hit head-on by another vehicle that crossed the centerline on Avery Road. Boese was 22 years old and from Tulsa.
12/10/2025 Tulsa, Okla. – The Oklahoma Highway Patrol is currently investigating a three-vehicle car wreck, involving a van that caught fire around noon Wednesday near the Arkansas River in Sand Springs.
Authorities say a person was killed during the multiple vehicle, head-on crash near Wilson Avenue and South 113th Avenue West. The crash took place when two vehicles were traveling east bound on South 113th Avenue West and a third vehicle was traveling westbound.
Reports say, the westbound vehicle drove into the oncoming lane and hit a van head-on.
Multiple agencies, including the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, and Berryhill and Sand Springs Fire Departments responded to the scene.
OHP said one person in the van was pronounced dead, and the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
