Drive-by shooting death in North Tulsa marks city’s 47th homicide of 2025

TULSA, Okla. — A man was shot and killed Friday evening in North Tulsa, and his death marks Tulsa’s 47th homicide of the year.

On Friday, Dec. 12, at around 9 p.m., Tulsa Police officers responded to a shooting at a home near N. Boulder and 50th St. North, where a man was killed in a drive-by shooting. The victim, 35-year-old Marvin Arnett, was rushed to the hospital in a personal vehicle but died from his injuries.

Reports said, Arnett did not live at the home. He was visiting the residence when someone in a vehicle fired a gun at the house multiple times, hitting Arnett. 

Tulsa Police Captain Richard Meulenberg confirmed to KRMG the killing is the 47th homicide of the year. Detectives questioned multiple people but still need more information about a suspect. Anyone with information about the homicide should call Tulsa Crime Stoppers at 918-596-COPS.
