26-year-old woman dead after crash in Pryor

PRYOR, Okla. — The Pryor Police Department said a 26-year-old woman is dead after a crash near Highway 20 and Carbide Road on Tuesday.

Authorities responded to the two-vehicle crash around 3:06 p.m.

Based on the investigation, a car driven by Ana Stoops of Strang was stopped at a stop sign on Carbide Road before moving into the intersection. She was then hit by another vehicle traveling westbound on Highway 20.

Stoops was airlifted to a Tulsa hospital, where she later died.

The 17-year-old driver of the other vehicle was transported to the hospital for minor injuries.

Police said the incident remains under investigation.
