TULSA, Okla. — The City of Tulsa is searching for new partners to help continue Mayfest after the University of Tulsa released the rights to the festival last month.

According to the University of Tulsa, they agreed to support the 2023 Tulsa Mayfest 50th Anniversary event after purchasing 101 Archer. The university then continued to host Mayfest in 2024 and 2025, but has decided to step back this year.

The University of Tulsa explained, “The City of Tulsa has served as a convener to help locate partners to continue the Mayfest tradition for our community. The City anticipates a partner to step forward in 2026.”

The City of Tulsa said it plans to share an update in the coming weeks about the status of Mayfest.
