Coweta mother sets up GoFundMe to cover her own funeral expenses

COWETA, Okla. — A Coweta mother on hospice care after her long battle with metastatic breast cancer has set up a GoFundMe to help her family cover the cost of her funeral and other end of life expenses.

28-year-old Kaylin Gawf is a single mother to two children. Gawf was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2022. At that point, Gawf explained the cancer had already spread to her lungs, bones and lymph nodes.

A year later, Gawf said the cancer had spread to her brain. In 2025, just a few weeks before Christmas, Gawf was told she would be moved to hospice care.

“I’m asking for help to cover my funeral and end of life expenses, so my children and family don’t have to carry that weight while grieving,” shared Gawf in her GoFundMe post. “Any additional funds will go in a Trust to go toward helping provide stability and support for my kids during this incredibly difficult transition…I am so not ready to leave them just yet, but I want to do everything I can to protect them and ease their future, even when I’m no longer here.”
