TULSA, Okla. — The Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office said a Tulsa couple was arrested on an abuse and exploitation by caregiver charge on Monday evening.
According to the sheriff’s office, Jeremy C. Woods and Tiffany A. Thomas are accused of stealing $150,000 from Woods’ 86-year-old family member who authorities described as having dementia.
Law enforcement said a bank employee reached out to Adult Protective Services in 2025 after noticing suspicious activity on the victim’s bank account, which included up to 80 ATM transactions over six months.

The sheriff’s office said half of those transactions occurred at casinos.
TCSO detectives said following an investigation that spanned multiple months, they believe Woods and Thomas took up to $150,000 from the victim’s bank accounts, spending the money mainly at casinos, retail stores and on online purchases.

Woods and Thomas were arrested on Monday evening and taken to the Tulsa County Jail.
