Suspect arrested in recent stabbing on Osage Prairie trail

TULSA, Okla. – Tulsa County deputies have tracked down a suspect in a recent stabbing on the Osage Prairie recreational trail near 62nd Street North and Peoria.

The Sheriff’s Office says that a man was confronted by two other men on the trail on the night of January 11th and that one suspect punched the victim and the other stabbed him.

They say the victim was able to get to a nearby grocery store to ask for help and was taken to a hospital for treatment.

The Sheriff’s Office says deputies searched the area for the next several days and during the past weekend, they arrested Joshua Paul Burris, who is now facing a charge for assault and battery with a deadly weapon.

There’s no word on the victim’s current condition.
