First Presbyterian Church in Henryetta added to National Register of Historic Places

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. — The Oklahoma Historical Society and State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO) have announced that First Presbyterian Church in Henryetta has been added to the National Register of Historic Places.

The church, located at 412 West Division Street, Henryetta in Okmulgee County, was added for its Gothic Revival architecture as an example of a small early 20th-century church designed with an auditorium plan.

First Presbyterian Church was first built in 1916 and designed by Oklahoma City architect J.O. Parr. The auditorium was a popular among Protestant denominations.
