DRUMRIGHT, Okla. — Insurance company FM has awarded the Olive Volunteer Fire Department a $5,000 fire service grant.
Thanks to the grant, the fire department was able to buy three iPads to be placed in Engine 1, rescue 1, and Brush 2. These iPads will help the department better coordinate emergencies by providing better access to pre-incident plans.
“At FM, we strongly believe the majority of property damage is preventable, not inevitable,” said Michael Spaziani, assistant vice president – manager of the fire service grant program. “Far too often, inadequate budgets prevent the organizations working to prevent fires from being as proactive as they would like. With additional financial support, grant recipients are actively helping to improve property risk in the communities they serve.”

FM awards grants to fire departments through its Fire Service Grant Program. FM chooses departments that best demonstrate a need for funding.
