OKLAHOMA — The State of Oklahoma is relaunching Be A Neighbor, a website connecting users with local resources across all 77 counties.
The Oklahoma Health Care Authority said during Governor Stitt’s first term, he called for a simpler way for Oklahomans to find help in their communities. The state relaunched Be A Neighbor to build on his vision.
Originally launched in 2020 with Oklahoma Health Services, Be A Neighbor has grown through collaboration with the Oklahoma Health Care Authority with the goal of including numerous other state agencies.
By partnering with Findhelp technology, a platform for coordinated social care, the relaunched site offers an improved user experience and expanded access to community-based resources available throughout the state.
“We’re empowering our neighbors to support each other at the community-level to create a better future for all four million Oklahomans,” said Governor Stitt. “This collaboration reflects the commitment of state agencies to connect people with resources in their communities. Oklahoma is a state where neighbors care for each other, and there is always hope for tomorrow.”
Through Be A Neighbor, users can enter their zip code to search through free or reduced-cost resources including financial assistance, food pantries, medical care and more.
Oklahomans can also suggest programs to be added to the database, including those offered by nonprofits, faith-based organizations or tribes.
