TULSA, Okla. — A man has been arrested after the Tulsa Police Department say he led the Bixby Police Department on a chase that ended with a crash in south Tulsa Tuesday night.
According to Tulsa Police, an officer rolled up to a crash at the intersection of 91st and Mingo Tuesday night around 8:30 p.m.
They say the driver of a black Hyundai Elantra that was speeding on Mingo tried to turn to head east onto 91st Street, but was going too fast. The driver collided head on with the driver of a white SUV in the westbound lanes of traffic on 91st.
The driver of the SUV said he saw the driver of the Elantra, Brycen Rogers, 18, running away from the scene.
TPD said earlier in the evening, Bixby Police responded to a domestic dispute between Rogers and his family, but he drove away from the scene and led Bixby Police on a chase. Bixby Police ended the chase, but Rogers continued until the crash in Tulsa.
TPD assisted Bixby PD in searching for Rogers and Bixby PD were able to locate and arrest Rogers. Rogers was booked into Tulsa County Jail and charged with eluding, and leaving the scene of an injury accident.
The passenger of the SUV was taken to the hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
