Three people have been arrested on firearm and intoxication charges following a traffic stop near Riverside Sunday morning.

At around 12:54 a.m., Tulsa Police said an officer was patrolling the area near 41st and Peoria when a black car was seen violating traffic laws. Police stopped the car near the 3900 block of South Riverside Drive.

Three people were in the car and police saw several open containers of alcohol inside the car. The driver was asked to step out of the car and when he did, police saw a loaded AK-style pistol with a drum magazine on the floorboard.

Police arrested the driver and two passengers and following a full search of the car, police found several loaded Glock magazines and another handgun inside a backpack.

Police said the second handgun was reported stolen from Stillwater.

All three men were booked into the Tulsa County Jail on charges of carrying/possessing a firearm while intoxicated, knowingly concealing stolen property, and other firearm offenses.
