The Wagoner County Sheriff’s Office was called out by firefighters Saturday who had responded to a home two times in one day to ask for a fire to be put out during a burn ban.
Deputies say Peter Dalbrun kicked firefighters off the property and refused to show his I.D.
Dalbrun was then taken into custody.
The Sheriff’s Office says they will enforce a zero-tolerance policy for illegal burning during the active burn ban.
“Our county is under an active burn ban because conditions are extremely dangerous, and it only takes one spark to put lives, homes, and first responders at risk,” said Sheriff Chris Elliott.
Sheriff Elliott says this marks the second arrest in a week for burn ban violations.
