BROKEN ARROW, Okla. — The City of Broken Arrow has announced that Amazon will open a 250,000-square-foot Same Day Delivery Station off College Street west of County Line Road.
The facility will support Amazon’s last-minute delivery network by using passenger vehicles for delivery.
Broken Arrow Mayor Debra Wimpee says the facility is expected to create over 100 local jobs.
“We are thrilled to welcome Amazon’s new distribution center to our city. This investment will not only strengthen our local economy but also create new job opportunities for our residents,” Wimpee said. “It’s a testament to Broken Arrow’s growth and our commitment to fostering a business-friendly environment that attracts world-class companies. Like Broken Arrow, e-commerce is thriving, and I can think of no better city to help Amazon maintain its commitment to operational excellence in service to its customers.”
Officials say the facility was possible through a partnership with the Broken Arrow Economic Development Corporation (BAEDC), which worked with Amazon and city leaders throughout the site selection and development process.
“This facility represents a major win for Broken Arrow and is a testament to the power of long-term planning and collaboration. We value Amazon’s confidence in our community and look forward to supporting their continued success as they grow their presence here.” said James Bell, President and CEO of BAEDC.
