TULSA, Okla. — A Tulsa man received his sentence for the charge of receiving and distributing child sex abuse material.

On Monday, 31-year-old Zachary Treat was sentenced to 11 years and three months in prison. Treat was also sentenced to 10 years of supervised release and will be required to register as a sex offender.

The court stated Treat will be banned from viewing sexually explicit materials after being released and will be required to pay $3,000 in restitution.

Authorities said the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) received a Cybertip in 2022 from the messaging app Kik reporting a user was likely sharing a video containing child sexual abuse.

Law enforcement said Tulsa County deputies began investigating the tip and ultimately determined Treat was the suspect.

Authorities then obtained a search warrant for Treat’s home and took possession of several electronic devices to search for evidence.

According to investigators, Treat admitted he had been receiving and sharing child sex abuse material.

After Treat’s devices were searched, law enforcement said they discovered videos and images depicting child sexual abuse.

Investigators also said they discovered Facebook messages between Treat and another user where Treat spoke about luring children into bathrooms.

All images and videos of abuse were sent to the National Child Victim Identification System, which is managed by NCMEC, to try and identify the victims.

Law enforcement said 23 victims were able to be identified and were allowed to submit their victim impact statement to the court.

Treat was taken into custody in Nov. 2025 and will soon be transferred to the U.S. Bureau of Prisons to begin serving his sentence.
