Tulsa Police offering free motorcycle skills courses through summer

TULSA, Okla. — The Tulsa Police Department is offering a motorcycle skills course designed to help riders learn new techniques or sharpen existing ones.

The course covers cone patterns, rules of the road and proper braking techniques.

Classes are scheduled on multiple days throughout the spring and summer and typically run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. You can find the full list of dates of the classes below:

  • April 11
  • April 18
  • May 16
  • May 30
  • June 13
  • Sept 26

Below is a list of requirements for the course:

  • Street Legal Motorcycle
  • Valid ‘L’ Endorsed Driver’s License (Previously ‘M’)
  • Insurance
  • Helmet
  • Eye Protection
  • Gloves
  • Long Sleeve Shirt
  • Boots that cover the ankle
