Two men arrested after police chase following train car TV theft

Tulsa Police arrested two men after officers said they were caught unloading stolen TVs from a train car.

Around 8:45 Friday night, the Tulsa Police Helicopter spotted two men and a woman allegedly taking TVs out of a railcar near Dawson and North Lewis and loading them into a brown Chevy pickup. When the officers arrived, they say the two men jumped in the truck and sped off, leaving the woman behind.

Officers tried to pull the truck over, but the suspects took off through neighborhood streets, running stop signs.

Several of the TVs stacked in the truck bed started falling out during the chase.

The driver eventually stopped near Tecumseh and North Atlanta. Passenger Zachary Heger was arrested just a few yards from the truck. The driver, Donald Pelham, ran into a backyard, where a Tulsa Police K9 tracked him down and took him into custody.

Police say the suspects stole six TVs, but only three were recovered. The woman left behind at the tracks has not been found.

Pelham was arrested for larceny from a railcar, conspiracy to commit a felony, eluding, and trespassing. Heger was arrested for larceny from a railcar, conspiracy to commit a felony, and trespassing.
