TULSA, Okla. — A suspect has been arrested who Tulsa Police say threatened a victim and attempted to break into the house of another.
According to TPD, officers responded to a “trouble unknown” call in the 12500 block of East 18th Street around 3 p.m.
Officers learned that a suspect approached a grandmother who was pushing her granddaughter in a tree swing when he asked for water and presented a handgun from his hoodie demanding to be taken inside their residence.
The grandmother quickly grabbed her granddaughter and fled to a neighbor’s house. The suspect attempted to chase after them, but fled the area.
Officers then began to search for the suspect.
Surveillance video from the second location showed the suspect approaching the front door of a residence. The suspect then pulled out a gun to attempt to get inside the residence.
A homeowner, who was unaware of the weapon, opened an interior door to ask the suspect what they wanted, but they fled in a grey Ford Fusion when another person appeared.
TPD officers located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop and detained the suspect. During the investigation, a firearm was recovered and both victims identified the suspect.
The suspect was arrested and taken to Tulsa County Booking and faces charges of threatening a violent act, attempted first-degree burglary, and possession of a firearm while in the commission of a felony.
