NOWATA — Former Nowata Head Football coach, Chance Juby, was sentenced Friday, April 10, after pleading guilty to engaging in prostitution within 1,000 feet of a school.

In November 2025, multiple people were arrested in a prostitution sting. The operation was conducted at a Catoosa hotel and resulted in seven arrests, including Juby.

The arrest happened a week after the Nowata Ironmen finished a 2-8 season. At the time, Nowata Public Schools released a statement and said Juby was placed on administrative leave during the investigation.

Now, he is no longer employed at Nowata. Almost six months later, Juby pleaded guilty and was sentenced. The 39-year old received a two-year deferred sentence; he must surrender his teaching license during the probation period, complete 120 hours of community service, and undergo monthly drug screenings.
